Abigale Miller bio
Abigale Lee
Miller (born on 21 September 1965), is a famous American choreographer as well
as a dance instructor and reality TV host. Abby Lee Dance Company was created
by her. It was a part of eight seasons of the show Dance Moms. Miller admitted
guilt on June 27, 2016 , to the charge of felony bankruptcy fraud. Miller was
sentenced for one and a half years in federal prison. She was released on the
27th of March 2018. In April of 2018, she developed lymphoma, the type of
cancer that left her unable to walk. She uses a wheelchair to aid in mobility.
Miller grew up around dance in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, a Pittsburgh suburb.
She studied under her mother's direction at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio.
Miller aged 14 at the time, was assigned the choreography and coaching for one
of her mother’s dance teams. Miller later took over the studioand changed its
name to Reign Dance Productions. Miller was recognized as a certified dancer by
Dance Masters of America in 1986. She became an active part of Dance Masters of
Pennsylvania Chapter 10 in February 2012. But, her membership was terminated by
DMA in February 2012 following the DMA said that Miller's reality television
show Dance Moms was "a complete misrepresentation of dance educators and
students and is detrimental for the profession of dance."
